The staff were incredible and got in touch when she was a bit anxious on her first day to check in. "As the Queen of the Southern Highlands, I can only expect the very best for my precious pooch and darling, Pet Resort Southern Highlands delivered in royal style! 👑🐾 At first I was hesitant, but after one fabulous doggy day care experience, my French Bulldog had worked the room, made friends with everyone, and became the undisputed star of the staff. By the time I booked him in for a two-night stay (because even queens have work trips), he was so adored that they upgraded him to a suite - free of charge - because of his good behaviour and irresistible charm. Talk about VIPooch treatment! The staff are friendly, playful and attentive, the facilities are sparkling clean, and the complimentary grooming before pick-up? Honey, that’s five-star realness. I left with total peace of mind knowing my little prince was in the hands of true professionals who adore him almost as much as I do. Pet Resort Southern Highlands has my royal seal of approval and we’ll absolutely be sashaying back for many encore stays! 👑🐾"

💉 Vaccinations
Dogs: Must have a current C5 vaccination. Cats: Must have a current F3 vaccination.
To protect all pets in our care, vaccination certificates must:
- • Show the vaccine was given within the past 12 months and is still valid.
- • Be provided before or at the time of boarding.
- • Confirm the vaccine was administered at least 14 days prior to boarding to allow full immunity.
🐾 Puppies & Kittens Puppies and kittens must have completed their full vaccination course and be at least 2 weeks past their 3rd and final dose (generally around 18 weeks of age).
We provide premium food, comfy bedding, and safe toys — so you don’t need to pack much! Please bring:
- • Your pet’s vaccination certificate
- • Any medications (in original vet packaging with clear instructions)
- • Your pet’s microchip number
If you prefer to supply your own food, please portion and label it clearly. Large beds, collars, and toys are best left at home, as we provide everything your pet will need during their country-style holiday.
The Southern Highlands is full of wonderful dog-friendly spots. Local favourites include:
- • Berrima River Walk — a lovely leashed stroll along the river.
- • Box Vale Track — a scenic bushwalk with great views.

Our Southern Highlands resort is easy to reach from both Sydney and Wollongong. We’re located about 35 km from Wollongong Airport (around a 40-minute drive to Bowral) and 92 km from Sydney Airport (about 70 minutes by car). That makes us a convenient choice whether you’re travelling locally or from interstate.

Our dedicated Pets at Weddings service takes care of everything — from transport, grooming and handling, to making sure your furry family member is comfortable throughout the day.
